- A communal house from the 1970s it was owned by the Springfield Support Community non-profit and sold to the LCA in 1981.

- Ailanthus House (4811 Springfield Ave.) is a ‘typical’ LCA group house featuring 6 adults living in a single-family dwelling. A continuous community since 1972, with low but significant turnover of residents (about 1 every year or two), Ailanthus has helped LCA maintain institutional memory and financial stability over years.
